Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. Matt 22:29 1 Cor 15:14-22 And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith. More than that, we are then found to be false witnesses about God, for we have testified about God that he raised Christ from the dead. But he did not raise him if in fact the dead are not raised. For if the dead are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men. But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. 1 Pet 1:3-7 Praise be to the
God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us
new birth into a living hope through
the resurrection of Jesus
Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish,
spoil or fade-- kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by
God's power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in
the last time. In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you
may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that
your faith-- of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined
by fire-- may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor
when Jesus Christ is revealed. |

Acts 13:34-41 The fact that
God raised him from the dead, never to decay, is stated in these words:
"'I will give you the holy and sure blessings promised to David.' So it
is stated elsewhere: "'You will not let your Holy One see decay.'
"For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell
asleep; he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed. But the one whom
God raised from the dead did not see decay. "Therefore, my brothers, I
want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to
you. Through him everyone who believes is justified from everything you could
not be justified from by the law of Moses. Take care that what the prophets
have said does not happen to you: "'Look,
you scoffers, wonder and perish, for I am going to do something in your days
that you would never believe, even if someone told you.'" Rom 8:11 And if the Spirit of
him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal
bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you. Rom 8:34 Who is he that
condemns? Christ Jesus, who died-- more
than that, who was raised to life-- is at the right hand of God
and is also interceding for us. Rom 10:8-11 But what does it
say? "The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,"
that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: That if you confess with
your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will
be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified,
and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. As the Scripture
says, "Anyone who trusts in him will never be put to shame." 1 Cor 6:14 By his power God raised the Lord from the
dead, and he will raise us also. Eph 1:17-21 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength, which he exerted in Christ when he raised him from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every title that can be given, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. Col 2:11-12 In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead. 1 Pet 1:21 Through him you
believe in God, who raised him from
the dead and glorified him, |
